Installation Guide

Our interlocking PVC tiles are designed for quick, hassle-free DIY installation. No adhesive, no specialist tools — just follow these simple steps.

📋 What You'll Need

  • Tape measure
  • Rubber mallet (optional, for tight joints)
  • Stanley knife or jigsaw (for edge cuts)
  • Straight edge / chalk line
  • Clean, dry subfloor

Step 1: Prepare Your Floor

Sweep and clean the subfloor thoroughly. Our tiles can be laid over concrete, screed, existing vinyl, or any hard, flat surface. Remove any loose debris, nails, or significant bumps. The floor doesn't need to be perfectly level — our tiles accommodate minor imperfections up to 3mm.

Step 2: Plan Your Layout

Measure your space and plan from the centre outward for the most symmetrical finish. For garages, we recommend starting from the back wall and working toward the door. Leave a 5mm expansion gap around the edges — this allows the tiles to naturally expand and contract with temperature changes.

Step 3: Lay Your First Tile

Start in one corner. Place your first tile with the interlocking lugs facing away from the walls. Simply press the next tile's loops over the lugs until they click into place. No force is needed — if it doesn't click easily, check the alignment.

Step 4: Continue Row by Row

Work across in rows, clicking tiles together as you go. Each tile locks on two sides, creating a solid, seamless surface. A rubber mallet can help if tiles are tight, but hand pressure is usually enough.

Step 5: Cut Edge Tiles

For edges and around obstacles, measure and mark the tile, then cut with a Stanley knife and straight edge (for 7mm tiles) or a jigsaw (for 10mm tiles). PVC cuts easily and cleanly.

Step 6: Fit Ramp Edges

Finish your installation with our ramp edges for a professional, trip-free transition. These click onto the exposed tile edges and provide a smooth slope from tile height to floor level.

💡 Pro Tips
  • For heated garages, let tiles acclimatise for 24 hours before fitting
  • T-joint pattern (brick layout) is stronger than X-joint (grid) for heavy traffic
  • Individual damaged tiles can be lifted and replaced in seconds
  • Clean with a mop and warm soapy water — no special products needed
